Information about Pontypool HQ

The following points should be noted about car parking and sleeping arrangements at the Pontypool start/finish HQ before, during and after the event.

  1. The event is based at a school and we are not permitted to providing facilities for camping or mobile homes at any time.
  2. Car parking is limited to 250 places so please share cars where possible.
  3. Car parking is for entrants only, no supporters. Note that there is free car parking opposite Pontypool Active Living Centre, the Old Mill car park.
  4. After finishing, a hall will be available for sleeping, but, as we have to vacate the site by 1:00 pm on the Monday, this will only be available until about 11:30 am  on Monday. Therefore late finishers are strongly advised to make arrangements for sleeping elsewhere before travelling home. See below and the local accommodation page.
  5. Vacating the site by 1:00 pm means that all entrants must leave the site by 12:00 noon at the latest on the Monday.

Important note for late finishers

  1.  It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that they have sufficient rest prior to driving home and not the organisers of the Valleys 100.
  2. Any person who is likely to be a late finisher and has not made arrangements to stay in a B&B locally may wish to sleep in their car. They can do this at Old Mill Car Park, Trosnant St, Pontypool until 8pm when the barrier will be locked.
